Pondering

I found an eagle just like this only a little smaller. I can't decide if I should buy it or not. It's very reasonably priced. Maybe I only like it because I saw it in a magazine. Maybe I shouldn't have it because I have a federal bullseye mirror and that would be too much. Maybe I should have it for that very same reason. Maybe most people don't spend so much time pondering such ridiculously unimportant things. What do you think? Can it be used elsewhere and for only $10 should I just get it and if it doesn't work for me, I can gift it to my brother or sell it, right? Right.

Buy it! You know if you don't, it will be gone when you finally decide to. ANd then you'll REALLY want it! :)

I spend as much time pondering such things. I say get it then you can ponder it while it is in your hands and gift it if that is the ultimate decision.

Check out my july 4th post from 2009. Friends found an amazing papier mache eagle at a yard sale in the Hamptons! By the time you keep pondering, some one else will have snatched it up and you'll be sad.

Sister, are you kidding? $10. It is stylish and fabulous... Hmmm. Take it home with you. Just saying.

Okay, since it was unanimous, I did it, I bought it and I'm glad. The woman who owns the thrift store where I found it even said, "Goodbye, Eagle" to him. That means a lot. I'm not being sarcastic either. If you've ever bought something to sell and just loved it so much even if you had no intention of keeping it for yourself, you know what I'm talking about. It's like the gift you almost hope your sister won't really like so that you can keep it for yourself.
