I don't think I've mentioned this before but I could be wrong. I'm too lazy to take the time to look back over my previous posts to be sure. We have cherry tree in our yard. It has the most magnificent flowers. Each year I look forward to its bloom time and never am I disappointed.
And because I always have more than one plan working at a time, here's a picture of the direction I want to take our front bathroom. It was the first room I painted, baby blue. The kids were young, it was cute. Pottery Barn goldfish themed. Now their not so young and I'm ready for a bit of sophistication in there. The problem. It's not just paint and a new curtain. I always want more, new tile in the shower and on the countertop, a larger sink and a beautiful mirror. Money is tight here just like it is in many homes right now so I'll continue to plan the major changes and in the mean time, I think I'll grab some fabric for a new curtain and a gallon or two of paint for some immediate gratification.
Doing a little research for the garden over the rainy weekend. These are the outdoor light replacements that are in the running.
Love, love, love this photo. There's so much to look at and it leaves me dying to know their story.
Been dreaming of a get-a-way with Husband. I am making a plan and will be putting it into action and I mean soon. Life just keeps on going by if you don't and you know what they say...there's no time like the present, make it happen, live for today, and on and on and on go the justifications. You'd be appalled to hear that Husband and I have never in our 8 years of marriage been away for a night alone together aside from our 1 night honeymoon. I only recently came to this realization and it is unacceptable!

Friday we took the children to Berkeley where we met one of my sisters and then headed over to the campus to look around. The library was especially enthralling with those great lights on each table, leather covered doors with nailhead trim and the beautiful clock. It was fantastic.
Husband found this inspiration for our garden cottage. Of course ours won't need wheels. It will however serve many purposes as a guest space with it's loft bed area and a playhouse for the children. I'll keep you posted.
