I'd like to know just what rain falling on a metal roof sounds like. Country Living

Hi! A reader from New Zealand, where it is hard to find a house that doesn't have a metal roof! (Funny - I never thought of it as being anything remarkable). But it is such a delicious (and loud!)sound; especially when tucked up cosy in bed.
We have a metal roof, but it has so much insulation underneath it (necessary in our climate) that the rain doesn't have a particularly distinctive sound. What IS nice is the sound of the rain on the skylights.
