En Masse
Clay pots are so versatile. They look great with or without anything in them, most especially when they are massed together.

Inspired
This great little space has my mind working hard at figuring out how to create my own version.

The Weekend
My youngest sister was born the day after I turned six. For a long time, I honestly thought that she was mine; a late gift of sorts. Never did we resent having our birthdays so close. It's funny, we always thought of it as a special treat. This sister of mine is having a baby. Her shower is this weekend so naturally our weekend is full of party planning and celebration. The planning has been going on for months. I really hope it comes together as nicely as I have envisioned. Fingers crossed...

Adored
Collected
A skeleton key collection...so fun and interesting. I could spend days making up stories about just what each key was responsible for keeping safe. While I don't consciously set out to collect many things, if I stop to think about my purchasing habits, I am a collector of things. The things that make my heart beat faster at estate sales and thrift stores are always the same; interesting old books, milk glass and canning jars. I actively look for beautiful old sewing machines and really want more birds nests to add to the two I have already because I am fascinated by their construction. What if anything, do you have to have more of?

Wants, Needs, Desires
We all know that paint and/or paper are quick easy ways to transform or update a space but who ever tires of seeing beautiful examples?

A Day Trip
We spent the day in Yosemite yesterday. We've been there many times but this trip was the most amazing as far as the waterfalls went (because of all of the wet weather we have had this year). We also spotted a mama bear and her two cubs on the way out of the park. It was quite a treat. If you've never been but live close enough to do so, I beg you to make the trip. It's an amazing place.

Lovely
I can't stop thinking about this dress. It's vintage Ann Taylor. I love everything about it. It can be fount at Thrush Vintage along with many other lovely pieces.

Thinking About
I found a worn out old table at the thrift store last week and I'm wondering if it could be made to resemble this... somehow. Now if only it's still there!

Of the Moment
This shade of pink is my new favorite. I'm Looking for a close match to use in our eldest daughter's room. I really don't want to paint but should. I used to like painting myself but I'm over that idea. I'm much more into having it done but as we all know, that's not nearly as easy on the coin purse.

Duality
On my long list of things to do is to plant climbing vines along the back wall of our house and just let them go...it will look beautiful and create some insulation from the sun which is much needed.

Perfection
Gigantic windows and beautiful seating...what's not to love?! I am partial to green though and tufting so maybe I'm biased.

Moments
I am certain that this adorable room has been privy to many a late night conversation between siblings and/or besties. You know, the ones when you just keep thinking of "one more thing" to share. Isn't it wonderful to think that simply by putting two beds in one room, those kinds of moments might be created? I like to think of it that way.

Technique
Looking for a statement piece for the yard? An espaliered fruit tree might be it. In our yard, it's a pear tree but really it could be just about any fruit variety. They are surprisingly simple to create and can work in a yard of any size as they can be kept compact or encouraged to really spread out.
