In the Yard

There's a bluejay nest in our neighbor's tree. It sits right against our fence. Our yard seems to be the foraging ground for the parental bird(s). Sometimes, as I'm being squawked at I, have to remind him/her that this is my yard and so I do actually have the right to sit in it. I really don't mind though and I do love to see the babies. Each year we see them learn to fly and search for food. It's lots of fun.

I know! They are mean and mean to their babies some times. I think they are "tough love" kind of parents. Luckily ours are kind of mild mannered.
