Confession

I acquired two more sewing machines over the weekend. I purchased a pretty green Elna and then one of my sisters brought me a beautiful old manual Singer. You'll gasp when I tell you that I have 6 machines now! Two are strictly functional but the rest of them are beautiful as well. I have a definite weakness for them and when I come across them for as little as $12, I can hardly pass them up.

Everyone has his or her weakness. Yours is harmless and aesthetically pleasing as well!

I had my great grandmother's treadle singer. It was just gorgeous. It didn't sew well anymore but I had it tuned up. My sister took it when I moved and like most things, she threw it out when she got tired of it. It's been years but it absolutely tears at my heart when I think of it!

Saw one of these as a focal point in a garden last year.

Saw another last week at my thrift store. No price. Now, I must go back. Knowing a price to offer !

Found your blog yesterday & spent the afternoon going backwards. Thank you for all you do.
