I haven't gotten the tree up yet but I'm busy trying to work out the wrapping scheme for the few things that will go under it. I love this simple/messy look. Then there's this from Martha, print your own paper. I'm sure that there will be many other great ideas sprouting up over the next few weeks. Do you have a plan? I know I'm not the only one who spends too much time thinking about such things.

Last year, I went 'green' by cutting up magazine photos and pages to represent the person whose package I was wrapping. We also used newspaper, and my sister used old maps from AAA to wrap gifts. It was fun to see how clever we could be- and felt good to get away from the commercialism a little bit. . .
But I agree with you: wrapping gifts is fun!
Completely adoreable. Sure beats the funny pages.

I really like the map idea. Filing that one away for future use.
I know what I want to do and hopefully I find the time to do it. Do I want to tell you thought or make you wait till Christmas?
...Well since I know you will be as excited as me, I am using brown packaging paper that comes as padding in shipments and then I am going to cut out snowmen, trees, etc and paste them on the top of the packages.
