Note to Self

Do not waste any more time searching for a long dresser for Husband's side of the room when what you really need is this. Hidden storage, height, and exposed shelving for pretty things. Do keep in mind the dusting though that would go with this sort of set up and try to find something with shelves that aren't too deep! A couple of drawers would be handy too.

Simple Treats

We have a local family owned nursery with the most beautiful grounds. Some days I go just because. I walk around and look at all of the plants to see if there are any that I haven't noticed before or maybe one that I've seen many times will spark my interest and become the perfect solution for a problem spot in the yard. I visit with the owners. I study their space and try to imagine how I might be able to recreate that sense in my own yard. I leave feeling calm and excited all at once. It's one of my favorite places. I think I'll go today.

Things I Want

An outdoor shower would be so much fun. I know that my children wouldn't mind cooling off there on 100 degree days even though they'd rather do that in a pool. Our yard is just not big enough for a garden and a pool. Forwarding this idea to Husband. It looks certainly looks simple enough to do without much fuss.

Chris, of Pristine Christine, was kind enough to send me some photos today showing how nice my fabric print, L'abeille is as a finished project. Chris chose to have the printing on a cream colored cotton fabric that has a super soft feel. I think it looks great in her window seat and I am very proud. I just had to share it with all of you. This photo display is one that I love. It's interesting and would be inexpensive to create. The metal piece could easily be found at the hardware store as could the clothespins. Purchase wooden ones to make a monochromatic one like this so that they could be painted or use the multicolored plastic pack to have fun with a color photo display.
